Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2 April 2026
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the website owner.
2. Cookies We Use
We use essential cookies so the service can keep you signed in and protect against abuse. If you choose Accept analytics in the banner, we also load Google Analytics (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic (no ads, no cross-site tracking beyond Google’s normal GA4 operation). We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
Essential Cookies
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| ca_session | Keeps you signed in to your account | Session |
| ca_cookies_accepted | Remembers that you acknowledged the cookie banner | 1 year |
| ca_csrf | Protects against cross-site request forgery attacks | Session |
Analytics (optional)
If you choose Accept analytics in the banner, we load Google Analytics 4 (GA4) so we can see aggregate traffic (for example which pages are viewed). We do not use GA4 for ads or remarketing. If you choose Essential only, GA4 is not loaded. You can change your mind by clearing site data for this domain and revisiting the site.
3. What We Do NOT Use
- No advertising or remarketing cookies
- No social media tracking pixels
- No third-party ad networks
- No sale of analytics data
4. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:
- View what cookies are stored
- Delete individual or all cookies
- Block third-party cookies
- Block cookies from specific sites
- Block all cookies
Please note that blocking essential cookies may prevent you from using ComplianceAgent UK's core features (such as staying signed in).
5. Local Storage
We use browser local storage to remember your cookie banner choice under the key
ca_cookie_prefs (values: essential-only or including analytics).
Local storage is not sent with every HTTP request. You can clear it through your browser’s developer tools.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
